Surinamese-Dutch artist Remy Jungerman talks about the European modernism and Afro-religious aesthetics that influence his art, and describes the recent public art project he created back in Morengo, his home town in Suriname. An installation of Remy’s work in the Joan Mitchell Center Studios is a feature of Prospect New Orleans 2014.
